Since there is no where else to ask, and I hate the concept of a PM.

Most of the questions on the Free Hosting area seem to be derived from people with a lack of understanding of the concept of viewing or ability to read how to do things I was was curious about 1 thing.

I read this section every day, and am constantly frustrated with the inability to be able to answer some of their questions. How does one gain access to help the average "joe" (little Susie) with their uttermost important issue on how to get things done on their site?

I know for a fact the admins / mods are busy. Is there a way to answer some of them? I hate seeing good talent going to waste on small issues when it is not needed.

If not, cool. I will just keep sitting back and getting more and more frustrated at the posts and some of the questions they pose to you guys.

Regular members are not allowed to answer these support requests because they normally just cause more confusion resulting in more work for staff.

No doubt. And I could not agree more.

Sometimes the answers given would only make it worse, and not better. But the I see the questions being posted and I shake my head on some of them as they make no sense as to why they are posted. I admit, I run a companies environment with 2600 + employees and I get some off the wall things eventually filtered to me, but they are hard issues, the ones I see here are so low level that it just makes me go Arg WTH are you posting this for!

That's the reason why we ask all the users to search the forums for previous threads with similar issues. And also reading up the stickies and announcements will go a long way in solving problems.

I had Corey change the ability for normal Users to reply. (Back when i was Administrator) The answers that some users were giving to people who didn't really understand what they were doing just really made it hard for staff to keep up with "what would have been an easy fix" now turned into a more complex issue. I know that some of the users are well versed in web design and even more in depth coding issues. But we decided it would be best for Staff to handle the "Free hosting" support.

Makes sense. I was just curious about why it could not be done. Once you have issues its best to limit the ability to make the issues bigger. Either way you guys are still doing a good job at keeping up with it all, it's just funny to watch some of the posts sometimes.

Keep up the good work.
