Moving domain names?

How long would it take for me to cancel my domain name, change registrar and then change hosts?

Just need to find out so i know how long my website will be down while im moving it to x10 :biggrin:

It depends on who is your current domain holder or something like that....actually I don't think you have to move or delete your domain name or change registrar...just change the nameservers to ns1.x10hosting.com ns2.x10hosting.com and then your good to go, with having it hosted here......

You should probably get another answer from someone for this, as I could defiantly be wrong.

Unless you want a new registrar ... ( like for privacy service, cheaper yearly fees, etc ) there is no need to change the registrar you are with. As John stated, all you need is to update the nameservers ( where the domain points )

The update can take 24 - 72 hrs, depending on registrar and internet traffic.
