Hi guys, I am thinking of opening another website used for a different purpose.

On the free side of things, we are having TOO MUCH downtime. Which makes me ask how long is this going to last for?

If you can guarantee that the downtime is going to end, then brilliant, ill set this other site up with x10. Once the site takes off, i will be more than likely upgrade to paid.

You say you have 99.9% uptime - with all due respect, is this true (everyone says it that is why) plus with the amount of downtime and lack of email support with the free hosting, it does put doubts to my mind as to whether or not the paid hosting is reliable.

If i do set up this other site with x10, can i combine the logon with my current site, or will i have to have a completely different user name?

Thank you very much in advance,

Luke Wale

Yes Paid accounts are reliable and have 99.9% uptime. Free Hosting is different than paid hosting, we have thousands of members on Free Hosting, some of them abuse the service due to which downtime is caused. But paid hosting don`t have too much users on one server, also abuse is less.

You can setup two website in a single account, Make sure to buy a package which contains addon domains, You can hosting different websites with addon domain feature. For example: If you are allowed to create 2 addon domain then you can hosting 3 websites, One your main website and 2 on addon domains.

Ok thanks for the very quick reply.

So would that mean moving my currently free website in with the possibly future paid one?

For the time being, as i want to first of all see if there is a demand for the website, i will be having it on the free hosting, can i do the joint account option then?

And in relation to the above, i'm also worried about that if i have it on the free hosting to start off with, if we keep having bad downtime, nobody will use the site anyway. (They reckoned the sites would all be back online 2 days ago - mine is still offline).

Also, do you offer myBB as one of the scripts?

Thanks again,

You are entitled to one free account, but you may host more that 1 website on it. As for the downtime, the 2 servers have been moved, but the account are still unpackaging. This is the process that takes some time.

Thank you very much guys... well i'll start looking into this :)

I know all these maintenance things must be done, honestly, how does x10 make money out of them? Is it the incentive of moving onto paid hosting?

The paid hosting does look brilliant price wise :)
