MSQL related question

hi all..

i have just now joined and wanted to install phpbb3 ..
i downloaded original copy from the phpbb3 site and uploaded it and was about to install...

but i am stuck with database...

i created a msql database and a username / password for it ..

but with database server as : localhost and all other information given respectively.. i am getting error message saying it is unable to connect to database server..

pelase help me in this regard...

i even applied for level 2 PHP version.. and it was accepted.. and waiting for its conversion...

wht shall i do ??

Did you add the user to the database and set the permissions?
