This is the result of years of tweaking, but there's always room for improvement. I want it to be useful to my students and their parents. Tell me what you think.

This is the fourth host I've had in almost as many years. The FIRN server in Tallahassee only allows 10 megs, the district insists that teachers use their template (boring x10), and my friend decided to shut his personal server down. So I hope I can stick with x10 and not get suspended.:happysad:

Good. Thank you. Then you don't see anything there that will get my account suspended? I need to know that x10 is going to work throughout the year before I put this out to my students and parents.:happysad:

You shouldn't have any problems. As long as you don't have/link to any illegal material, you should be fine.

Wow it looks great. And am sure your students will really love it.I really appreciate your effort that you are taking as a teacher.
When the map is clicked it just opens another link. Why cant you have your own content hosted instead?
Good Luck :)

I'm not sure what you mean. My intention was to provide a link to that map resources website broken down by continent. When I click anywhere on Africa, I get a list of maps of African nations from the Perry-Casteneda Library Map Collection. Isn't that what you're seeing?

Yes, that's what we see, but he was just wondering why those map resources were on another site. :)

My only suggestion is with the top nav bar. It's different on Research and Discussion from the way it is on the rest of them. Also, from those two pages, the Home link doesn't work. Other than that, your site displays ok. :biggthump

I'm having all sorts of alignment issues with your graphics going over your text, in my Firefox browser.

See zapzack's post. Also, for example, on the Discussion page the picture goes over the top of the text, preventing it from being read. The Calendar link on the Discussion page gives a 404 error, & why does the top Menu style on that page differ to that seen on some of the other pages?

You can use this site to see how your pages will appear in all manner of different web browsers (you may have to wait a while to receive all the results, though) ;

Overall, I like your site & am sure that your pupils will be pleased that you have provided this for them.

Please post to this forum more often - I've noticed how much better than usual everyone's spelling & grammar has suddenly become whilst you are around! ;)

(@ichwar - what's with the rude gesture?)

P.S. : On your "More about Mr. Brady" page, in the paragraph in the left-hand column, did you intend to write "can't imagine teaching any where else." or was your intention to write "anywhere else"?

I love correcting teachers! (I suppose that at least it's better me, than your pupils getting the chance to do it!)

If you use browsershots.org, look for "Windows Vista" with your screenshots.. Those are my factories.. :p (I run 2 factories and produce about 1200 screenshots a day)

(ichwar's edited it now, just to make my previous posts make no sense!)

@ichwar - that's the trouble with your home-schooling, & living in your own little community. You have a very narrow understanding of the world. Try to get out more!

I bet that you found that site & signed up there from when I posted the link about a week ago. It's quite a handy site, isn't it ?!

No, I edited it since you didn't like it.
And no, I don't have time to waste, getting out more, right now.

I can't say anything for zapzack, but I've been using that site for testing long before I ever found x10. So don't take too much credit for yourself. ;)

Well, except for the last posts that seem to be something "you had to be there" for between zen-r and ichwar, there is some excellent advice here. Thank you all so much for looking at it, expecially for going to every page like you did and digging out the typo on "any where." I'm going to work on those issues right now. I had noticed that in my new IE 8 I had the same alignment issues, but when I clicked the little piece of broken paper next to the url bar (Compatibility view) it lined right up. I think it has something to do with the way I used layers and text boxes in Dreamweaver 2004. Thanks again all. :happysad:
