I purchased a domain from x10 hosting for 9.95 a year but needless to say, its really not worth it if the quality of service im receiving now is the intended quality.

I understand x10 is doing massive change overs and things like that, but their paid services have a 99.9% up time promise.

Try it for your self aclights.com (it works half the time, the other half it does not.)

So.... Im not trying to bash x10 here for being a bad service, but i really hope my domain is just bugged, (I alredy send a ticket in.)

My main question is, is anyone elses domain working poorly?

I know its not just my pc, because others have called me when they cant acces my site.

And I know its not my yahoo host because aclights.deejaychad.com works all the time....

The massage firefox gives me is:

------------------------------------------

Connection Interrupted

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again.

The domain probably has nothing to do with it.

If you are on a free server, then you will be having problems. It seems to me like they are nearly resolved. My website has been working very well lately.

If you were to switch to a paid server ($5/mo?) then it's guaranteed uptime.

what does my domain have to do with my free hosting?

The domain is separate right?

(please excuse my lack of knowledge)

My actual website is on a YAHOO paid server, the domain just forwards to yahoo....

You've got the nameservers pointed to x10 hosting's ones - If you're trying to point the domain to your yahoo host then you need to use YAHOO's nameservers.

http://whois.domaintools.com/aclights.com

I'm not quite sure what you're on about though.

Your hosting here is (may be) down because the server (absolut) is going up and down like a yo-yo lately.

If you're trying to use the domain for your hosting here then that would be why.

If you're using the domain for your hosting at yahoo then you need to change the nameservers.

If someone goes to www.yoursite.com, all the domain registrar (yahoo) does is say www.yousite.com = something.x10hosting.com. No actual information is stored at yahoo other than this. If your host goes down, your page is inaccessible everywhere. If yahoo goes down (fat chance) your site is there and running, but no one can find it.
