In outlook, what is your smtp (outgoing) mail server?

Try this:
-Remove the Mail account from Outlook.
-Login to your cPanel > Email accounts and download the "Auto-Configure" registry file for the mail you want to configure.
-By executing this registry file, it will automatically add and configure the mail account to your Outlook
-Open your OE, put your password and it should work.

Then try sending a mail and tell us if it worked.

ok i have found that if i change to port 465 for outgoing that it will find server but it will fail test email. i also read that a lot of other places use port 587, is there any possiblity that there could be something like that here. i have put in a request to at&t to have port filter removed and that can take up to 24 hours so we will see what happens when that is done.

We do not have enough of a demand to run on another port currently, you're welcome to put in a suggestion in the feedback section and ask people to vote on it.
