My forum links go to my x10 subdomain, not my new domain

I just purchased a domain from godaddy. I changed the godaddy nameservers to the x10 nameservers.. at first i did addon domain and added it, that didnt work it just took me to my index of / webpage. then i changed it to parked domains and it did the same thing it doesnt go straight to my forum. im really stuck and need help please!

edit: k i got my domain to work but then when i click on a thread on my forum it goes back to my main x10 domain. for example please go on my forum and click on a link and look at the domain name, it changes.. please help me

This isn't a tutorial, so it shouldn't be in tutorials.

I'm guessing you haven't told your forums software that it should be using the domain you added, so it's generating all links according to what it was set up with,ie.your x10hosting provided subdomain.

I will also take the liberty of changing the subject to something more meaningful.
