Hello. I have corrupted my Joomla because I changed the MySQL username under the "Global Configuration" on my Joomla admin panel (I changed the MySQL on my Joomla because I was trying to figure out a way to integrate the SMF with Joomla using the same MySQL username.). After the change, I am unable to login to my Joomla admin (backend) side AND frontend.

My broken site URL: http://gaming.x10hosting.com

Questions:

1) How can i reset my Joomla's MySQL user back to the way it suppose to be? FIXED

2) How do I retrieve my MySQL user passwords? FIXED

3) I am unable to login to my Joomla site (front-end ONLY) after Joomla-SMF Component installation. Do you know a fix for this? FIXED

4) Do you know a way to make my Joomla site to load faster? FIXED

If you could please help me, I would really appreciates it.

Thanks.

Joomla only edits Config.php, so check that

Probably by recreating them (and then giving a new password), but just getting them probably isn't possible / ask staff.

t2t2t, THANK YOU! You solved my first problem.

Can anybody help me out with my second question? I really need the passwords to integrate SMF into Joomla.

2) How do I retrieve my MySQL user passwords?

EDIT: Is there some ways to retrieve the MySQL user passwords using PhpMyAdmin? (I am kind of a newb in PhpMyAdmin. Please provide specific steps if you know what to do. Thanks)

Thanks.

I haven't install my SMF yet.

I just need my Joomla MySQL user passwords. I wish if it was that easy to find the passwords. Lol.

Anybody can help? :dunno:

Then check joomla config file.

THANKS again. I found the MySQL user passwords. Using the passwords, I was able to install Joomla-SMF component from Joomla Hacks. Anyhoo, after the component installation, I can't login to my Joomla site (front-end ONLY). Does anybody know a fix for this?

Thanks!

I got it.

I wasn't able to login because there was a bug in the component. I updated the component from Joomla Hacks and fixed the problem.

Anyways, Thank you t2t2t!

P.S. Do you know a way to make my Joomla site to load faster?
