When I make changes to my site and upload new images and files many of the changes are not showing on my site. I've waited days and still it is registering old files which I have deleted.
Yes I am refreshing my browser cache but it seems that my site cache is still serving the old files.
Any suggestions?

Just to add:
This problem must be related to X10 hosting because I have other sites with other servers and this never happens with those other sites.

Give us a URL that you think is not updated. Describe the "old" (what you see) and the "new" (what should be there).

Seriously, this is usually a caching problem on your computer or your ISP.

These two pages. The secondary banners have the page titles repeated.

The error is showing on multiple computers, so it ain't my computer. If it is my ISP then it is something they have just started doing because it hasn't happened until now.

The old pages had an image combined with the titles "video" and "design"
On the new pages I separated the image from the titles. I am seeing the word "design" (in orange) repeated twice and on the other page, the title "video" (in orange)repeated twice. even though I have deleted the old images from my site completely, they are still coming up.

For what it's worth, this is what I'm seeing:

I'm seeing the same thing as esselar.

The server does not cache files. Some CMSs cache pages, but that has nothing to do with the server.

Do you happen to be using Cloudflair?

Hi,
Thanks for checking it out. Yes I did "sign up" for cloud flare, but if it were responsible then everyone would be seeing the old pages like me...wouldn't they?
This therefore indicates that it is my ISP caching pages. Is this normal practice? I can't edit websites when my ISP is serving me old pages.

Well, with Cloudflare, it would depend on the CDN region the requests were being made from. CF does cache static elements after the first request, but it's regionally dispersed so if I hit a different CDN node from yours, I would be getting either something directly from your site (in the case of a first request or an expired cache) or whatever had been previously cached on my node, while you would be getting whatever is on your node.

Cloudflare is a bad choice if you are updating/redesigning your site.

Thanks for that guys. I had no idea how Cloudflare worked, but did suspect caching (should have known better). I'm still building the site so not a good option. Now I'll have to see if I can drop the Cloudflare.
Much appreciate your assistance!
:)
Grats!

I am having big issues with Cloudflare. Basically I can't turn it off! I can't access any of the settings and it is still serving me old images after all this time.
You can purge the cache for cloudfare
How do I do this?

Thanks!

Finally fixed it! Went to Simple DNS Zone Editor and deleted any Cloudflare referenced domains. Now it's updating perfectly.
