My site isn't responding, server is extremely slow.

Hi.

When I try to access my website, my web browser keeps loading waiting for aio1155.x10.mx to respond, and when it does respond it so slow I could take a shower, and have a shave, and it would still be trying to load. I tried several other websites, and they load fast with no lag. I had to make sure the problem wasn't on my end before I could post this help.

I don't know what to tell you. I installed a new Joomla addon called JCKeditor (excellent editor btw), and that is about it.

Anyway, I hope this can be fixed.

When I visit your website I get load times of approximately 1.5 seconds (varies from .8 to 3.5 in the ten or so trials I've done, but most have been around the 1.5 mark), which is a pretty decent load time.

If you are still having issues loading your website, it may be because your route to the servers is delayed somewhere. Possible culprits for this are: 1) you are using a proxy to view the site, 2) you live far away from the server's datacenter located in Chicago (US), 3) you have a cruddy ISP

Another possible culprit is other people on your free server abusing their accounts. While we catch those people and suspend them fairly quickly, the fact remains that they still use up more than their fair share of server resources for at least a short while, and this impacts every other user on the server.

Hi, and thank you for the reply.

I would have to say that it's my ISP. I live in Nova Scotia Canada, and I have a dial-up connection (oh how tired I am of it) so either it's the distance or the isp. My ISP at times has a tendency to cough like one of my cats just before it hurls a hairball. it's not the best connection to have I'm afraid.
