Well, I for one would like to thank priyaa for bumping this thread. It's very appropriate for Mother's Day. My dad's birthday was yesterday too, I'm a-gonna visit them this weekend 
It's a sad point in life when you realize that at some point, you're going to have to start taking care of your parents. I hope it's a long ways away before mine start deteriorating When my grandmother got Alzheimer's she stayed with us until she died. She enjoyed telling stories of her youth, even if they were the same ones lol.
