my sql/cgi bin not working for over a month

I dont know if I'm still supposed to wait for an update on the status of stoli's mysql issues, but theres been no update since 15th October.

Like the title says, mysql and cgi-bin have been down for over a month. Is it just me, as most of the threads seem to be about account suspension and cpanel access?

cgi-bin (Perl/Python from the web) has been disabled due to abuse by some members.

There has been no announcement as to if/when it will be enabled. I would proceed on the assumption that it will not be and try to convert your scripts to PHP.

From what I understand there are plans to get it re-enabled, the problem is it'll take a while we set it up so the abusers -cant- abuse it so bad that it cripples everything. Wouldn'tve been an issue if it weren't for that the abusers were hitting it so hard it was pretty much killing the entire server

what kind of stuff is considered abuse? i thought it was just scripts getting stuck in an infinite loop while they are being tested that caused the server to fail for a bit?
