I wonder if you can help. I run the mevagissey.x10.mx website as a support site for my students. Tonight, one of my students said that she had tried to access the site but was warned of a virus infection on the site, so she was blocked access by her pc's antivirus software. I got home this evening and tried accessing the site via chrome and IE 9 and was met by similar messages stating the site had a malware infection. This is a very new experience and I would appreciate your advice in how to deal with it. The last file I amended on the site was in march 2013. Regards Shirley Atkins

What did you do when you changed it? Add any JavaScript (ie a poll)?

I've had something similar a few years back. This is probably because there is some javascript or iframe in your code that links to an attackers website. Scan your local computer for malware because it could be searching and injecting web documents. Its also possible that your ftp login details have been intercepted and it was uploaded onto your site. If you have a file upload facility check how this handles the file because its possible to navigate outside of the intended directory and have the file uploaded in the root folder replacing one of your files.
