I want to install myBB to my site hosted by you guys. But I need to set-up the "My Network Places" thing first, how can I do that for x10hosting?

For a database, you have to create MySQL databases through cPanel. Then use localhost as the server.

No I'm talking about setting it up through my computer so I can move files from my computer to the server instantly.

What error are you getting when you try FTP? Did you use FileZilla as FTP client

Download FileZila from there website http://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client

Install it, open it and then put these info in it

host : (server address you use for cpanel)
username : cpanel username
password : cpanel passsword
port : 21

Click quick connect
