MySQL Changes?

Well i was wondering
exactly how do you change the password to a mysql user without deleting it?

i dont want any of my passworrds changed right now
but i would want to know for the future

Delete the user, then recreate it with the new password. That is the only method that I know of

You need to delete the user and re-create it with the new password.
You won't lose any information, as all the info is stored in the database, not in the user.
You'll then have to give the user permission again, to modify the database.
