mysql connection dead

Not sure what happened but it seems that I can access my data to my site but I can't log into the wordpress backend. It says:

Error establishing a database connection

This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host's database server is down.

• Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
• Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
• Are you sure that the database server is running?

If you're unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

What happened? I also checked the forums and a few days ago, Stoli was rebooted. I don't think that would impact anything right now. What can I do?

stoli is experiencing some errors with the mysql server.
the administration has been notified.

The administrators have been alerted of issue with the mysql server on stoli. A fix should be coming soon and they will alert us when it has been fixed.
