MySQL databases missing

Hi

All of the MySQL databases simply vanished from the server !!!

And on accessing the index page
http://indiansofmd.x10hosting.com/phpBB3/phpBB3/index.php
leads to an error similar to

                        [B]General Error[/B]

            SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]

Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) [2002]

An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists.

Is there a way to fix this. I make regular back up of 'phpBB3' folder through FTP. Would it help if I simply replace the folder with a backed up one?

Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated :happysad:

Mysql on Absolut is currently offline.There is nothing to panic,your databases will be back when once Mysql is back online.

But server status in the accounts management panel says 'MySQL' online. Is that normal?
