Was I mistaken that MySQL databases were included with the free hosting accounts? I have access to MySQL through phpMyAdmin, but I'm restricted from creating any new databases. Is this a limit imposed on free hosting users? Thanks for any help.

ps- searched the forums and main site for this answer without success.

Hi,

To create databases you should use the 'MySQL Databases' tool in cPanel, not phpMyAdmin.

No Problem :)
I was a bit confused when I first started using cPanel, but now I know that it is done that way to avoid problems with people creating databases with the same name etc. cPanel prefixes your cPanel name to all your databases to avoid such problems.

it would be better to be there 6 mysql databases in free account :)
You can have more than one application on a database, You just need a separate table prefix. If you are writing your own PHP programs which use mysql, write them with a user configurable table prefix.
