MySQL error

I am unable to access the MySQL database on my site filmitems.x10.mx, getting the following error messages:
Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (111)
Could not connect: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (111)
Unlike other threads from this morning, the database still seems to be intact. CPanel shows:
MySQL Databases: 1
MySQL DiskSpace: 6.86MB

I'm wondering if the MySQL service needs to be restarted on the VOX server?

Same with mine, and when I try accessing phpmyadmin it doesn't work, seems like it just started, because it was working fine yesterday.

Same issue here.
Also, if I click on the MySQLDatabases icon in the cPanel, I get:
The MySQL server is currently offline.
Error while connecting to MySQL: Couldn't connect to /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock: connect: Connection refused

Trying to access my site at all says, Error establishing a database connection.

Like the others, trying to access the mysql database says: Error while connecting to MySQL: Couldn't connect to localhost:3306/tcp: IO::Socket::INET: connect: Connection refused
