MySQL help needed

I uploaded all of the html files to my public root destination, and thought that I edited the config.php file to match the database information, but now I am getting the following message.

[B]We are sorry but the the MySQL version you are attempting to use is to old and is not supported by Nuke-Evolution nor by MySQL.com any more.

Please ask your host to upgrade or switch hosts.[/B]

If someone can please tell me how to fix this or would be willing to fix it for me, I will gladly provide you with the necessary info. I just want to get my site up as soon as possible. Thanks in advance.

I checked the requirements and it would seem our MySQL version is within acceptable range. I'm not sure what other issue it can be. I'll ask an upper level staff member about this in a bit.
