MySQL Help

Sorry if this is in the wrong section..

I am wondering how I can connect to MySQL with another application...Such as a game to store player stats.

I have it all set up but it wont connect to my MySQL. I'm not sure if I am typing in the right hostname though...

I am using the hostname "gia.x10hosting.com" but for some reason, the game isn't able to connect to it.

I have all the databases and users set up for it but still no go.


Is there a special host name I have to use to connect to the my database?

If the game is located on your site's server, "localhost" should work.

It isn't.

Its an external game (Left 4 Dead -- If that makes any difference).
