MySQL import doesn't do nothing

I've try to import a Db in phpmyadmin, I've create an empty db and after I've try to import a db, the file is namend filename.sql.zip, the size is less then 30 Mb.
I still see the db empy... I've to run some scripts to import the database? of course to restore the database after the import? I've to use some specific user to do that?
