MySQL login rejected

I've been trying to set up my site for a good 20 mins now, and I don't know why MySQL is rejecting my CORRECT login credentials.

Server: localhost
DB Name: sakuyafm_ipb
Username: sakuyafm_root / sakuyafm_shana

Both are being rejected, and I also get an Access Denied error on phpMyAdmin.

Try not using an illegal copy of IPB - the release group DGT left their mark on your installer and it's not legal to use.

You are now permanently suspended for the use of illegally nulled scripts.

So apparently my buddy gave me an illegal copy.

Awesomesauce. Too good to be true. Shoulda stuck with SMF.

Future note: If someone gives you IPB or vBulletin and you didn't have to pay for it, it ain't legal. Those two in particular cost $ (IPB not as much as vB but still) - when in doubt, run the name of the script through google and look for their homepage - if you got it for free and it costs $ from them, there's a problem.

I'd advise your friend that he's got an illegal installer as well; my guess is he either knows and doesn't care, or doesn't know and could end up losing his hosting (whether it's with us or not) too.
