MySQLdb not available for Python???

I've gotten a simple Python test script to work, but when I try to import the MySQLdb module, I get an error message saying that it's not available.

The Python line is:
import MySQLdb

and the error message is:
ImportError: No module named MySQLdb
args = ('No module named MySQLdb',)

Can something be done about this? Is there a different database available for use with Python?

You could try downloading the MySQL module from http://sourceforge.net/projects/mysql-python/ and including the file(s) manually.

It was installed at one point, but with the various server rebuilds it went away, along with a few other problematic changes. You can request that it be re-installed. In the short term, you can try manually installing the egg (add it to sys.path, possibly after unzipping it first).
