mysqldumper ok to use?

I have used this script in the past to backup and restore large databases as most of you will know phpmyadmin can really suck on trying to restore a larger database over 10mb in size (can't remember what its default limit is) but planing for the future will it be ok to use mysqldumper to restore our database should the need arise?
