any feedback on the following two names I am giving.
The Two Names:
1) Web Sentrum
2) Site Sentrum
The first thing that Sentrum makes me think of is Centrum vitamins. Especially Centrum Silver, what with the "Senor" looking so much like "Senior," as in "Citizen". Now, this could go either way... you could play off it such as "Essential vitamins and minerals for your web site!"
The other thing is, like so many names, it doesn't tell us anything. It's not necessary, but might help.
Let's see what we can come up with by combining various elements of what sitepoint.com seems to be about:
- [[World Wide ]Web ]Site
- Development/Design
- Advice/Help/Assistance/News/Tips/etc.
How about.... WebDADA (Web Design And Development Advice)? Hmmmm, can't be that bad, 'cuz someone's already bought webdada.com! webdada.net is available, along with .org, .info, .biz, .us, and probably most other country codes. The domain was updated in October, but he doesn't seem to be really using the web site, so unless he's really using it for email or some such, maybe he'll sell it to you.
Applying a slight tweak, web-dada (with a dash) is completely available! And, since webdada.com doesn't seem to be really in use for any content, there's minimal chance of confusion.
With another slight tweak, sitedada is available in all the TLDs that GoDaddy (my registrar of choice) shows when you ask it about a domain.
webdevhelp.com and .info are taken, but the others are available.
webdevadvice is available.
Certainly many other combos of the above words and similar words, would be available, along with acronyms made from them.
I'm going to stop now before the boss complains about all the time I'm wasting.
