Hello all,

I'm having issues adding my domain to my site. My registrar, letshost.ie won't let me change the nameservers on my domain, mrsales.ie to ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com and the reason they give is the hosting provider has not made their DNS servers Authoritive for my domain. I believe all I can do at this point is get in contact here because there's nothing i can do from x10hosting's side without having my domain's nameservers pointed to x10hosting. Any help would be massively appreciated!

Have you tried adding the domain in directadmin? Previously you wouldnt have been able to before changing the domain, though with DirectAdmin it should work (I did successfully add a domain without changing nameservers to my account).

Please note thet if you add it as a pointer domain, you will not be able to create email accounts, subdomains etc for the domain, best option may be to add it as a separate domain, which would then be given its own public_html folder.

Hi Anna, thanks for your quick response. I do have it added in the DirectAdmin control panel, and it's just sitting there set as my default domain. Let's Host still just says the same error as above unfortunately. I don't really know what else I can try.

Can you please try now, I have confirmed our nameservers does have a record of your domain at this point?

There is the option to set an A record as well, but if you use that option you would also need to create any subdomains you want to add at the registrars end as well, and possibly you'd need to change mx records to get mail working.
