Anyone prefer a good forum softwarE?

Yes SMF is pretty good for most of the free ones but i like vbulliten and IPB

IPB and vB are both the top line in bulletin boards if you're willing to pay. Else, SMF for the win. Oh, and IF (InvisionFree) is also pretty decent. Good thing about IF is that the owner, member number 1, will always have access to the ACP no matter what group he or she's in as long as he or she can sign in.

Personally, I like vB more than IPB; however, IPB's perpectual plan is hard to beat, so I got IPB instead. I've tried both boards. I love the look on the vB ACP though. Very hot; although some disagree. What it all boils down to is personal interest and liking. No one can say IPB or vB is better because they can both do the same things, basically.

Also, by chat, do you mean a forum or a chatbox?
