Hello everyone. Recently I helped a friend setup a website using x10hosting. I suggested it to them because I personally use the premium services and haven't had any problems.

After I installed SMF onto his website, I found out that mod_security was enabled (due to the fact I could only upload packages/etc using the file chooser). As far as I know, there isn't a way for the end user (A.K.A me) to disable it, so that's why I'm here asking for it to be done :)
If there is a way I can disable it, that would be awesome if someone could tell me.

Now, as for my second issue.
I uploaded a couple of themes to his site to be used in place of SMF's default ones. Everything was fine (Once I used the file chooser to upload) except for some images. For some unknown reason I have images that don't show up, even though they do exist on the website.
Here are a couple of examples (Sorry if I can't add these links):

http://legendaryyx.x10host.com/Themes/blackened/images/useroff.gif
http://legendaryyx.x10host.com/Themes/blackened/images/pm_recipient_delete.gif

However, if I go into FileZilla, and navigate to /Themes/blackened/images/ the images are there:

Is there some sort of reset I need to do in order to make these images work (Like when you edit CSS, the webserver caches the css files so you have to use .htaccess to force it to get a new copy every time)

Images are there, just broken.
How did you upload them? If FTP, did you use Binary mode?

while x10hosting discourage it - Premium users have the ability to completely disable mod_security on their account via cPanel

For free-hosting x10hosting has a customized web server setup that does not allow for the same cPanel functionality to disable mod_security - x10hosting also decided it would not be a good idea to allow free-hosting users to disable it - as it is used to not only protect against inbound malicious attacks but to prevent outbound abuse also - Unfortunately free-hosting still gets abusive signups - and allowing them to disable something that helps to prevent their malicious actions would not be in x10hosting's best interest

I don't think so.. They were uploaded in a zip archive using SMF's upload manager.

Edit: It seems the images themselves were broken. I went into the zip and extracted them and they still didn't work properly. I'm using some defaults for now.

Well that's a shame.. It's a pain to have to download every mod/theme/etc then reupload it to the website. But if that's the case, so be it. Thanks for the answer.
