what do u mean?
Suggestion: If you want to create a redirection you can create a new directory like http://zeebaah.x10hosting.com/cpanel and then create an index.html inside it with the foollwing code:
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url=http://zeebaah.x10hosting.com:2082">
So when you go to http://zeebaah.x10hosting.com/cpanel it will redirect you to ur cpanel.
If u find my post useful u can help me by adding to my reputation
Edit:
another simple suggestion is to bookmark the url!!!!

Why can't you just put a link to www.zeebaah.x10hosting.com:2082 on your website? You could hide it on a graphic object or text. Even if someone else were to click it, they still wouldn't be able to access cPanel without your password.

And if you can't remember your username & password, you could write that somewhere on your site as well. Make sure you disguise it well, though, so no-one else knows what it's for.

Or did you mean something else?

I'm sorry, but that's the most awful idea I've ever heard. There's enough security problems with people leaving username/password on a note on their desk. Putting this information on your website is begging for people to break in.

I did say disguise it. If you can't manage this adequately, then yes, you would deserve a break in. However, some of us obviously must have more ingenuity in this area than you could muster. ;)

Edit:

Here you go, my credit card 4-digit PIN is in here, help yourself! ;

You could have gotten that if you owned x10. But since is a database thing, I don't see the possibility of you getting the login box at your site. By the way, what is weird about going to the cpanel and logging in. is just a matter of adding 2082 to your address. Afterall, there is much security risk having that box. That cpanel login is there for security sake. Don't make yourself that vulnerable.

would it be 2040? :biggrin:

and for your help. this might or might not work, depending on the how cPanel validates logins
HTML:
<form action="http://www.x10hosting.com:2082/login/" method="POST">
<input type="hidden" name="login_theme" value="x10">
<table width="200" class="login" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
<tr>
<td align="left"><b>Login</b></td>
<td>&nbsp;</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>Username</td>
<td><input autocomplete="off" type="text" name="user" size="16"></td>
</tr>

<tr class="row2">
<td>Password</td>
<td><input type="password" name="pass" size="16"></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td colspan="2" align="center"><input type="submit" value="Login" class="input-button"></td>
</tr>
</table>
<input type="hidden" name="goto_uri" value="/">
</form>

Teensweb, re your PM/rep to me ; "brilliant. But people who cant remember a four digit number like 2082 wont remember the algorithm that they used to encode it!"

...doesn't make sense.

The way I suggested is designed precisely for those people. Nothing needs to be remembered. You click a link to your own website. If you want to work on it in cPanel, you click a link you have placed on your website which takes you to cPanel. If you can't remember your user/pass you find it hidden in your website. No algorithm. Just something easy to find like ;

Personally, I have a good memory so don't need stuff like this. But we were asked to provide easy, foolproof help. So that was my suggestion. Other people gave good suggestions too. Take your choice!

Such a simple thing is a bit risky cause most people have usernames which sound like a username!
and as for password someone with a standard iq can gues that!

Well i havent gotten any problems remembering the pass and username.
its just the number i forget.
so if i could just make a login there then it would be more easy and Id think that it would look better to have login on the page, then a link to another page to login.

Agreed. But that's the good thing about the method I suggested - you can have a completely random & long set of numbers & letters which no-one would recognise, & still not need to remember them.

Have you had a go entering the code suggested by some of the other posters? It may be worth a try. If it doesn't work you can post back here & ask for modifications.

Hey y dont you understand?
You just create a page where you want the login and insert this code:

<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url=http://zeebaah.x10hosting.com:2082">

And then when you visit that page you'll see the login box there!(not actually there but what it does is when you go to that page, it will automatically send you to your cpanel!)
So you need'nt remember that simple 4 digit number!!

If you find this useful, please help me by adding to my reputation (surely you can remember the reputation icon?) (lol) !

Don't ever have your username or password hidden in your code. Hackers have no problem decrypting those encryptions. Its not hard to remember what you had your username or password and if you can't, just email your self the link and your username and password so that you have easy access to it.
