I just installed some drivers to my computer, because last night I completely wiped my computer and re-installed Windows XP. After installing the drivers I downloaded from nVidia's website, I restarted it. But, apparently I got something running now, some device, I don't know what it is, and I can't stop it. It's called "Hitatchi HDS721616PLA380". I also have a problem with "USB Mass Storage Device", which I can't find the driver for anywhere, not even using Microsoft's Internet driver searcher thing. Anyway, below is a screenshot of the device that is supposedly "safely removable" despite me not plugging anything in and it not being removable. Please help me rectify this most unfortunate situation.

It is a hard disk. If your system don't have the hard disk of hitachi then right click on my computer icon on start menu or desktop. Then click on manage, then computer management console would appear.Click on device manager.Find this Hitachi HD and right click on it and then select uninstall driver.A property screen will appear, check delete driver software and click ok.Now restart the system and windows will start the driver installation cancel it and open device manager and disable this device.Alternatively system restore is a good idea.

are all of your motherboards drivers installed - controllers can sometimes create problems if they do not have the correct driver (this would explain your mass storage problem)

ps. I wouldn't worry that the windows driver search failed...It rarely works.
