Need to update PHP to install MediaWiki, but I can't

I'm trying to install MediaWiki using the Software/Script Installer, but I get an error message:

PHP version is less than the required 7.0.13
[ ] Do you wish to enable PHP 7.0.33 ? (Might cause issues with your existing installations).

with a checkbox to enable PHP 7.0.33. However checking the checkbox does nothing, even if I try to install the wiki again. How can I install the latest version of PHP so I can create the wiki?

you should at least be able to upgrade to php 7.1 in cpanel.
if you were on the x05 server you could do php7.2
i think the x02 server has 7.1
