Nice idea and great ambition.
Site is fine for the fact that it is sober and fast.
I am unable to comment what extra features does it need.
You may consider the following
A user registration form where urban poor gets registered and get in to contact with you to seek your help

Menus can get confusing, should try a drop down menu instead of the menu on the left sidebar. Or a menu that is not static.
