ok, so I have a magento store set up on my website, and I have only one product on there that is available for a pre-demo state of use, and I was trying to test the checkout system, to make sure that people would actually be able to download the program... well when I test the checkout system, it is supposed to send out an email with a special link to download the program, and I used my gmail's email address, and I never receive the email that it is supposed to send out to be a conformation and that is supposed to provide a unique download link on a per customer basis...
anyone have any ideas as to what is going on here??
I have tried all of the options that magento has for an emailing system, I don't remember for sure what its options are, but I am confident that it has both phpmail() options, and smtp options, but I do not remember right off the top of my head... but none of them work, not phpmail, not smtp unsecure, and not smtp secure... so any insight into this mater is very much appreciated...
please and thank you very much for any and all help or tips as to what to do...
