Are you sure you are logging into the cPanel with the cPanel username/password?

I am using the same username and password as I use for the account login. If it is somehow different how would I know?

Thank you for your assistance.

I had a flash of insight looking at your pm, and I think I have an answer for the many folks with this problem. When I looked at my username I saw it said pgiraffe. I signed up as PGiraffe and log in to my account and the forums as PGiraffe. I was also logging in to cPanel as PGiraffe - a difference I did not think to note yesterday when I pasted my account information from that page (username: pgiraffe). I tested it with the new password you sent me - login to cPanel as PGiraffe failed; login as pgiraffe succeeded. Of course, I never thought to test with my original password. I also note for others' info that my account and forum passwords remain as I chose, only cPanel password is changed.

So the answer for some may be - cPanel login name is set by the system to all lowercase letters and is case sensitive, try logging in again using all lowercase letters.

A permanent fix might be to make cPanel username case INsensitive or not change the case when folks sign up. Or, if that is not practical, post this info on the login graphic.

Again, thank you for your help. And do let me know if I'm right. If so, you might put this in that Read This First FAQ. ;)
