New account - FTP upload not working

Hi,
I just signed up today and I would like to install a forum on my webspace here. Creating a database through cPanel went fine, but when I tried to upload the files by FTP all I get is the following error message:

552 Disk full - please upload later

I'm using FileZilla. Connecting to the server is no problem. But it's not uploading anything.

What am I doing wrong? Is there some option I have to switch on in cPanel or something?
I'm completely stumped here. If I can't upload files I can't use the account.

Yes, uploading is working now. Thanks for that.

Unfortunately, now I can't access those uploaded files from the browser. All I get is this error message:
The server can not find the requested page:
schreibforum.x10.mx/smf/install.php (port 80)
Please forward this error screen to schreibforum.x10.mx's WebMaster.



I know that the file is there (along with all the others), so why does it tell me it's not?



And before you ask: yes, I did upload them into the public_html folder.
But this is getting really tedious now. I never had so many problems with getting a new webspace up and running before.
