thanks, i have a problem though. is there a way to have a link in an iFrame open in the same windo but not the iFrame?

What do you mean same window but not Iframe, if you mean in another iframe just change target="iframe name here" to what the iframe is called.

Sorry if you mean something else, can you explain yourself?

my new layout will work with iframes for the menus. i want it so that when the click a link that is in an iframe it will open that page in the entire browser, instead of just that frame.

If you're still wondering about your iframe question, I guess from what I understood from your description that you want thw page to open up on it's own in a new window, just put this

target="_blank"

but if you're wondering how to make a whole new page open with all the navigation and so on but with different stuff in the iframe I'm not sure I'd have to think about that since I can't remember.

I hope you mean't what I said above if not then please reply and I'll see if I can remember the other code.

i gues i could do that, but i want the linked page to open in the same browser but out of the iframe. cuz im afraid that people will just close the popup.

One more thing when you are working on the template work on a copy of what you have for some security and also i think you need a copy of MSAS Mambo Stand Alone Server... It is a server for you to test your Mambo template live on your comp..
