Hey forumites!
Just found x10hosting. Is it really as good as it seems?! Seriousley?!

So, i've started a site (nothing uploaded yet) that i think I'm gonna be pretty happy with.
My problem is, i accidently deleted all of the original files in the public_html......... oops.
Is there no way to get that bacK?! the faq says that there's not, if there's not a backup saved...
Any way to resolve this? or how do i cancel my account, and if i do that will i be able to recreate it with the same name??

thanks!!

technically you don't need the files that are placed in the public_html folder by the system.

Most of them are only needed if you plan on using the front page extension, the others are just there for a guidance and to show that your account has been created (like the index.html file).

If you chose to cancel the account, you should be able to sign up again using the same name.

Hi thanks for the quick replies, and the welcome!
That's good to know.
Mainly, I'm trying to install a perl script? never done it before, but at least the instructions are vaguely clear... lol
Anyway, the script calls for certain files to be put into certain folders (like cgi-bin) so can i just remake those folders?

yes, that should work just fine, as it usually is an empty folder from the start.

HI I am new here And Question is this what is best thing in this forum?

These forums are good in many aspects, from receiving friendly advice to playing games. You may want to browse the forum index, as you can find places where you can get programming help, website reviews, and even assistance in Spanish. Depending on what you need the most, there could be many things that you might consider "the best."
