I have been hosting my personal site on x10 for a few years now. For some weeks I have seen some errors on my pages due to cgi includes that are not working.

I thought it was another server upgrade, but looking at some posts I understand there are some new rules in place that I can't figure out.

Can someone explain me if that's the case and what are those rules?

I'm not very technical. My pages uses some cgi/perl just to display a text counter on the pages or los a guestbook. Is that still allowed? Is there any way I can have them enabled.

If I'm forced to switch to another language I will be in trouble.

Thanks for your help.

x10 has taken down CGI support due to some malicious activity involving CGI scripts, I believe. Whether to reinstate is up in the air, and I believe again, that chances are most unlikely.

What are the alternatives? Is there any other language that is still allowed?

I believe ASP.NET has also been discontinued due to compatibility issues.
PHP is still working along with MySQL. As for other languages I am not sure, mainly because I do not use them.
