It's been on x10 for quite some time now, it's past testing, there still may be some bugs that need fixing, if you find any let us know, other than that it's working well.

A number of people have been saying for many weeks now, both in this thread (eg. http://forums.x10hosting.com/news-announcements/91427-new-site-builder-5.html#post539620 ) and elsewhere, that they can't use SiteBuilder because it won't accept their username & password.

I have tested this in the past & got this same problem - & still do.

I've never seen a response from staff about this.

Does login work for anyone or is it unuseable for us all? Is it broken, or are we doing something wrongly? :)

Why do you keep thinking it might be in test? IT'S NOT IN TEST ;

It's been on x10 for quite some time now, it's past testing, there still may be some bugs that need fixing, if you find any let us know, other than that it's working well.

Anyway, hopefully a member of staff can eventually answer these queries & help sort any problems?...........:dunno:

We have a great offer for x10Hosting members to further enhance your service with us.

http://sitebuilder.x10hosting.com/ is now live.

Just put in your website address, cPanel user name, and password. Once entered you can pick a template you like that will automatically be uploaded to your web space. This will also install an admin panel for the template where you can edit everything along with add additional sub pages and even add a guest book\gallery.

The help section for the builder is located here:
http://sitebuilder.x10hosting.com/help/

Tomorrow an icon will show up in your cPanel that will link you directly to the builder.

Make sure you upgrade to PHPv2 if you have not already, http://x10hosting.com/account

this isn't new anymore

Who does this update apply to? I don't use any x10 templates. I just ftp all my Dreamweaver files in from home. I followed the link to my cPanel, but didn't see anywhere to update anything to PHPv2. Do I need this?

Thanks for helping me out on this.

Tried the new sitebuilder, just to get something quick and dirty.
Kept getting error messages during phase 3, until I figured out that I had tried to use it too soon (had just created account, etc.).

FINALLY got ftp access, and then site creation finished normally, EXCEPT::rant2:
when phase 3 completes, I get the following helpful :dunno: page:

Congratulations!

Your new website has been created, it's available here:

You can modify your website, add new subpages or photos!
To edit your website, use this URL address:

Username and password must be entered, use the same username (login) and password as you have used here.
Good luck!

The flaw in the above is that the links wont work, until the "www." is removed.:pat:

Dont know who to send this to so the "undocumented feature" (bug) can be fixed!

I'm getting a "Domain Available!" page, even after removing the "www." You may want to check your settings in your Account Panel to make sure that you have set up your subdomain properly.

Thank you very much. I ve been trying to use it for d very beginning but it's slightly tough owing to configuring the ftp client.anyway it's fine now. plz do note that the automic configuration does not run after i downloaded it, so i had to use the manual setting. may be you can check the setting again as other people might be affected as well. thx for d gud work. cheers.

how to upgrade to phpv2....................... thanks for da help in advance

We no longer use that system. That existed from 2008 and past. Everyone is on PHPv2 now. As far as I know, you should already be on it unless there is something up with the new server you're running on.
