I saw this post (below) but I still can't sign in.

I'm sorry, I don't know what to do, so I can sign in? Can some explain this in simple terms, step by step.
And how do I get approved for a SSL certifcate? Sorry, but it was a lot easier before to edit my site, now I can't seem to get in at all the new way.

Thanks

Hey, x10ers!

Traditionally, I have recommended free users utilize CloudFlare to provide SSL for their websites because x10 did not support users adding their own SSL certificate. Most users are reporting that their website has an invalid certificate if they do not use this. There are some issues and limitations with this, and, hopefully, it will not be necessary from this point on.

There is an SSL configuration screen in DirectAdmin, but the link appears to be missing. In the search bar, type "SSL" and the option will appear below your search. Alternatively, navigate to /user/ssl (links below).

It's going to be really tempting to use the free certificate from Let's Encrypt. Right now, thousands of x10hosting free users are automatically being upgraded to this option! Unfortunately, Let's Encrypt does not let x10 register thousands of users at once. The registrations must be spaced out over hours, which will take many weeks to complete for every single account. If you choose that option and force it to happen manually, you will get a rate limit error until this backlog is cleared. x10 management is working on clearing this backlog.

Until then, you can generate a self-signed certificate (which is still invalid according to your browser unless you have the tech savvy to override it), you can use the shared certificate (which will be invalid), or you can upload your own certificate. You can purchase a certificate from tons of vendors on the internet; just search for "SSL certificate" and pick your favorite.

I'm tagging users that have requested this feature below.

@ macguysr78
you should have selected a "new thread" before posting.
instead of jumping on someone elses post.
that way support can easily address your issue specifically.

if you cant get in at all it is likely you might be blocked.
to many failed login attempts can cause that.

it might take a while for support to reply to your post.
they dont check posts all the time so it could be a day or so.
mostly because its all volunteer helpers.

I probable last Logged in March of 2020, It's a website for a dart league, which is about to start back up again. I can't login at all. I use to use my email address as my login, but now someone said to use my user name. Which ever I use, it says my password is wrong. I've tried the link you posted above, same thing. I have a question is the password to login to these forums, the same as to my website? I've tried changing my password multiple times, nothing seems to work.

Thanks for any help.

Im not certain, but i think the fact you said
I probable last Logged in March of 2020
answers most of the question.

Requirements for a free x10hosting account is
you need to login once every 30 days to keep the account active.
then another 27 to 30 days later the account is automatically purged
(deleted)

it is possible that support might be able to restore it.
you will need to wait for their reply.

There was a glitch with using special characters in the password. can you try temporarily using a password with only numbers and (caps/non caps) letters?
