I have recently signed up for an x10 Hosting account. I then used Fantastico to install Wordpress 2.7. Since then I have added various themes to my Wordpress directory. Then I faced a problem. When trying to access the Wordpress page from the domain itself (eg. no index.php), I got the x10 splash page. I went into the root of the account and deleted the index.html page which was the splash page. This worked fine when I typed in my address without the 'www.'. However, when I tried to access it using the 'www.', it came up with the splash page. I was utterly confused! I thought I'd deleted the splash page and I searched everywhere for a second splash page, but I couldn't find one. Then I thought I'd use a redirect where the address with 'www.' would redirect to the address without 'www.'. However, it still didn't work. Does anyone know how to get rid of the splash page from the 'www.' address. It's not for me as I don't usually put in the 'www.' but my visitors mostlikely will.

Thanks in advance  Also, keep up the great service x10!

I had the same problem. Just wait for a couple of days and both http://yourdomain.com (which I will name "the first one", without the www) and http://www.yourdomain.com (which I will name "the second one", with the www) will work. If you updated something on your site, the first one will show your updated contents. The second one will show your updated contents on a later date. :dunno:

I don't know why it has that lag but that's how I see it. Maybe its because updates on the dns servers around the world takes time. :dunno:

You can also try clearing your browser's cache. Sometimes this can be an issue that is easily overlooked.
