If you have never had an x10hosting free account, then follow this process. Note that x10hosting premium users would be considered new users and should follow the same instructions.

Go to https://x10hosting.com and select "create your free website"


Enter your email address. Please note that temporary email services should not be used as you need a way to receive an email for password resets, updates, etc. If you get an error message, please go to our discord server or create a new thread to get help. Please note that we do not currently accept signups from users using VPNs, TOR browsers, and some countries. If your email address is in use, check the section for existing users. Click "next".


Create a new forum user name, and your password for the forum and the x10 panel. Forum names are public and can be seen by anyone. Passwords need to be strong and contain a lowercase letter, an uppercase letter, a number, and a special character, and must be at least 8 characters long. If the forum user already exists, then you must choose a different name. If you have a forum user already, but your forum password is weak, you will have to change your forum password to a strong password first. If your email address matches an email address in the forum, use that forum account. Click "next".


Click the button to read the terms of service. You can't skip this. Please read these so you know what things aren't allowed so your site doesn't get deleted. Once you've read the terms, check the box. Click "next".


Click "finish". After a few seconds, your account will be created. Make sure to check your email for any messages from x10hosting, including your spam or junk folders, as you'll need this information before you can add any services.

Existing users that have had an x10hosting free account that was active any time between November 2019 and today should use this process so they can utilize their existing accounts. Head to https://x10hosting.com/login.


You will have to use the forgotten password function no matter what. Even if you logged in yesterday, the new system will not recognize your password. Failure to do this will result in your account being locked after many failed login attempts..


Check your email, including spam or junk folders for an email from x10hosting. It will have a link that must be opened within two hours of receipt. If the link is too old, simply follow the reset procedure again. If you are unsure about what email you used to sign up, please go to our discord server or create a new thread to get help. Entering email addresses that have no accounts will be detected as spam.

Your email from x10hosting should look like this. Once you have opened the link, you can log in with the email address and password.

Once your account has been created or recovered, head to https://x10hosting.com/login and use the email address and password you provided. If you ever forget your password, notice the forgotten password link is on this page. Also notice the warning message that if you are an existing user that has not just signed up, you must reset your password.


Inside your dashboard you'll see a lovely feature to change the color scheme. I like the red one. This is not essential, but it took a bunch of time trying to get it to work, so I'm mentioning it. Fixed/static have no effect at this time.


If you see this ribbon at the top of your panel, check your inbox for that email from x10hosting, and also the spam or junk folders. Without following that link, you can not sign up for a free service. If you can't find the email, click the ribbon to try sending another one.


Before you can create your first free website, you must add a hosting service. Click the "add new" button to add a service.


The top tabs show the services you can pick from. Right now, that's "Infinity Free" and "x10Premium". Do check out the details of each service. If your website is going to require more resources than are available on Infinity Free, then you might want to immediately sign up for a premium account instead of running in to problems. Enter a domain name and then choose your x10 provided domain. If your domain is already taken, then you'll have to choose a different x10 domain or domain name. Then click "sign up". The sign up process takes about a minute to complete. Don't close the window or go to a different page, or your sign up might fail.


Once the process finishes, the page will refresh and you can see your new service listed on the dashboard. Click the "hosting control panel" button to launch DirectAdmin and start building your free website!

From your dashboard page you can see a list of active services. If you click the user name of that service (user @ server) then you can see the service details.


The service details show a quick summary of that service. You can also access the hosting control panel (same as you can from your dashboard) or terminate the service. Normally the service details screen looks like this.


If your account is suspended for any reason, it will show you that reason. If the infraction is minor, then the system will let you unsuspend yourself.


Once you click the unsuspend button, it will remind you what the infraction was and give some more information. Clicking "unsuspend" will lift the suspension.


More serious infractions will not be able to be lifted by yourself. You'll have to post in the forum or ask on discord for a free hosting support team member to lift these for you.


Finally, the service can be terminated by clicking the "terminate service" button. You'll get a reminder that this is permanent and everything is deleted. This process takes a long time for the server to confirm to you that it has been started. Please note the service will still show up in your dashboard for up to 10 minutes after termination.

Changing password, email, and other user details is done from the profile page. Clicking the "change password" button will prompt you to change your password. You'll need the old password to do so. Otherwise, log out and then click "forgot password" on the login page. The email address can be changed by clicking the pencil icon. The email address will have to be verified before you can sign up for a new service. The other information shows the information on file for your personal data. Right now we don't collect that data, but it will be required in the future if you purchase a domain because it is a requirement for domain registration.

The services page shows the active services, same as the dashboard, and also inactive services that have been cancelled or terminated. Clicking on the user name will bring you to the service details page.
