Hi everyone..

I recently got my hosting account created.. and the firs thing I did was change the nameservers at my domain and then request the domain reference to be changed to my domain in the Account Management panel in X10hosting.com

The NS seem to be taking quite a while for the transition, so I was doing all the installation and things directly via the IP address mentioned in the AMp.

The only thing I did since then is create DBs and then copy the wordpress files onto the root of public_html and request for a php upgrade.

but now I see nothing but this strange "Cpanel is installed on this apache server" page when I go to my IP address (http://174.36.10.69/)

Going to http://174.36.10.69/index.html also gives no response.

My guess is that the server is down, but the status of the server is shown like this
serverstatsdi2.png

Everything is shown in green but the BG is red.. does this mean the server is down?

I need to know how exactly I can find if my server is down at present or not (just to be sure that its not a problem with my side)

Thanks

The IP is shared between all the accounts.
Giving every user their own IP would cost way to much.

so what should I do now if I want to give a wp-admin/install after the PHP is upgraded(which I hope happens today, else tomorrow is a holiday which will make me have to wait for 2 more days for that :S )

if I want to go to the cpanel and upload files, also if I want to access things directly what is the address I should I go to?

If I go to 174.. address given to me, I am still editing the one which I am allocated, right?

in short.

My NS is still transferring, so how do I access and install all the wordpress files?

http://174.36.10.69/wp-admin/install.php doesnt seem to work :S

thanks!

As Christopher pointed out, you cannot access your website by punching in the IP address. All accounts on the "NewAbsolut.x10" server share that IP address, it is not an IP address to your account. I also just got setup on a "NewAbsolut.x10" account, but I am unable to access the actual website (Apache?) stuff. I get the following message when I try to access my website (hceblog.exofire.net):

Connection Interrupted

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again.

cPanel, FTP, and my account management page all work... The account management page doesn't say that anything is offline right now.

I'm getting that same error...

I guess there is some strange problem with the NewAbsolut.x10 server. Hope you guys can fix it soon.

As for everything else I asked. I think there is no way other than just waiting till my nameserver is changed.

Thanks for the help :)

I can now access my website, found out that I need to upgrade to the next level PHP configuration to install Wordpress myself though... Waiting on that now :).
