newb needs help with domain transfer

i got a domain name registered with 1 and 1, and thought i could just transfer the name across to x10 and everything would work, the domain is showing correctly on the control panel but when typed into browser nothing shows up, I'm sure it's something ridiculously simple that I've missed but I'm not completely sure what it is!! Any help would be greatly appreciated

Did your domain pointing to nameservers
ns1.x10hosting.com
ns2.x10hosting.com


The DNS propagation may take upto 48 hours.

It is upto 48 hours. That means the complete Propagation time It may work for some people early. It depends on how much complete.

Some time it works in 1 hour too. means at that isp dns propagation complete mean while some people still not able to see the site So we will give max time upto 48 hours.

I just unlocked my domain name, and tried to redirect the name server, an error message came up saying "The name server is not sufficient or hasn't been approved"

I have the domain name with "1 and 1 .co.uk" im not sure if the name server is still being propagated or if 1 and 1 are being awkward

Can you tell us teh domain name. So we can check.

You said that you unlocked the domain what does that mean? Did you unocked in your domain control panel on 1 & 1 then don't do that

The lock is to ensures that no unauthorized transfer/delete of domain. So keep it locked. Just change the nameservers

Then make it primary domain
OR
park the domain

OR
add as addon domain.

many thanks GS, I have encountered another problem, I made the mistake of changing the domain name back to the original x10 domain, and then tried to change back to my .com domain, now an error message saying
"A change to your hosting account's primary domain. result
A system error occurred while processing this action.

Error Code: 1E9F63B0" comes up, what does this mean? I know I should have left it, as it was, but the transfer wasn't going through, I have received instruction from 1 and 1 now and have re-directed the name servers successfully but the error message comes up on x10, I'm sorry to be such a pain

Hi Vishal, and thanks for reply, I dont know how to park the domain, sorry, the domain name is aicolchesterpersonaltrainer.com, its a bit long I know but will work well with search engines

To park the domain, Go to cpanel and click on "Parked domains".

There you can park the aicolchesterpersonaltrainer.com domain.



Bytheway the domain is not pointing to x10. Point it to x10 using the nameservers given above.
