Hey everyone...
I am used to building simple template-based websites that have worked really well, but I no NOTHING about building a site from code. I have been given all the coded files for an interactive, animated marketing device demonstrating the benefits of a client's services. The files include the following formats: css, png, html and js, and I don't know what to do next. I have the free X10 hosting plan. My questions are these:
1) Will the free plan accommodate the file types I have?
2) On the control panel screen, how do I upload the files? (Do I have to place them in specific folders)?
3) Once all files are uploaded, what next?

Thank you in advance to whomever cares to reply.

Hi thevalis,

1) Will the free plan accommodate the file types I have?
Yes, you can upload HTML files, CSS files and images to your hosting account. ;)

2) On the control panel screen, how do I upload the files?
You can upload individual files by using your cPanel File Manager in your control panel. However, for uploading lots of files, I would highly recommend uploading your files using FTP. For more information, please see this wiki article.

(Do I have to place them in specific folders)?
All publicly visible files need to go into your "public_html" folder. :)

3) Once all files are uploaded, what next?
Once you have uploaded your static files, that should be it: you should be able to see your site at your domain name. ;)

Thank you,
