Try improving the site's SEO. You can use a MyBB plugin such as Google SEO.

Perhaps add an About page or box on the sidebar/footer telling users about your forums and explaining why people should join.

And be sure to add a site favicon

Needs favicon and column fixing.

Also remove the ads, they make the site look horrid. You aren't going to get money from ads anyway, until you actually get traffic on the website.
