no folder for public_html

I was going to upload my files but there is no folder icon or + sign next to the public_html. Why is that?

Not sure about the folder icon, but the + is missing because there's nothing to expand - the + icon shows up once you have folders inside that folder. You'd hit the + to expand the list to see what folders it had within it, but there's no folders there to display.

Don't i need the folder icon there before I can add too it?

Shouldn't need it, I'm not positive why it's missing the icon, but there's already 1 file in there (a default .htaccess file), so it's definitely a folder that can accept files.
