No logs

Perhaps the situation in this thread (http://x10hosting.com/forums/free-hosting/144242-no-error-logs.html) would answer your question. If it doesn't, could you clarify the difference in your problem?

I thought this was a pretty easy to understand problem but obviously not.
Stats programs (and there are lots I could use, I have no problem with that) require a log file to analyse to produce the stats. The log file contains the raw information about who visits your site, when, what browser they use etc. etc.
In the CP there is an option to get the sytem to store log files. I have it set to do just that. But there is no log file stored that I can find. My LOGS directory is empty, nothing, nowt, not a single byte of info. THAT'S the problem.
Is it possible to store logs with free hosting? If so, how?
